KidSight Vision Screening Update

During the month of September, the crew of Lion volunteers reported over 300 service hours screening kids at 14 schools, according to Kidsight Chairman, David Allen. A total of 4,940 kids were screened with 515 referrals; that’s a 10.42% referral rate. And for October, seven schools have committed to screenings. We think it’s fair to say, the RH/LW Lions Kidsight program is making a significant difference in the York County school system. And the kids are certainly benefiting. “This year we’re definitely noticing more kids with glasses from last year’s referrals,” says David.
With the combination of Kidsight, Roaring Readers, mentoring and the Robotics program, our Lions Club has increased the visibility of Lions in our school system like never before. Let’s keep up the great work!
