Clover High School’s Leo Club Inducted

The New Clover Lake Wylie Leo Club

induction of Leo officers and members was March 19th at Clover Middle School. Maddi Selby has been elected to serve as the first president of the new club; Rhiannon Plummer as vice-president; Tiffany Lombardo as secretary; and Dylan Costner as treasurer. According to Maddi, “We are excited to give back to our community. Through this important work, we plan to make a difference in our community.”

The team members have already helped package 10,000 meals for the Stop Hunger Now charity at the South Carolina’s Leo Club Conference. In addition, they participated in team building and service project planning activities. And they are currently collecting recyclable items throughout Clover Middle School, maintaining the Gloria Reid Memorial Garden and the safety patrol.

The River Hills Lions Club sponsored this Leo Club. River Hills Lions advisors Frank Van Leer, JP Russell and Morgan Lombardo, as well as school advisor Leslie Williams officiated. Rick Pressley, 1st District Governor and District Lion/Leo Advisor Bob Cox, represented the SC Lions and several other River Hills Lions also attended. According to Lions Club International, more than 160,000 young people in 140 countries are proud to volunteer to serve their local communities and to call themselves Leos (Leadership, Experience and Opportunity).
