Lions International Peace Poster Contest

Our Club will once again participate in the Lions International Peace Poster Contest. Many thanks to Stephen Kowalczyk for chairing this important initiative.  The Peace Poster Contest was created in 1988 to give young people the opportunity to creatively express their feelings for world peace and to share their visions with the world. Approximately 600,000 children from 75 countries participate in the contest annually. The theme for 2018-2019 is “Kindness Matters.” Students (ages 11 – 13) from Clover Middle and Oakridge Middle schools are invited to participate. The grand prize winner receives a trip to an award ceremony where he/she will receive a cash award of $5,000 USD and an award. In addition, 23 merit award winners will each receive a cash award of $500 USD and a certificate of achievement. In the spring of next year, you will get a chance to meet our Club’s winner during a Business Breakfast meeting.
