Mollie is the seventh graduating Clover High School senior to receive the award based upon committed purpose, academic prowess, financial need and school/community involvement and/or work experience. She will receive $1500 for each of four years of college study.
Mollie, with a 3.8 GPA, is described by Ms. Morris, her guidance counselor, as a responsible leader with excellent time management and “people” skills. She exercised her prowess as a Student Council member (class VP for three years), National Honor Society member (Grades 11 and 12), Cheerleader (Captain in Grade 11) and president of the Fellowship of Christian Athletes. She has also worked as a nanny and a waitress. Her volunteer experiences range from leading a kindergarten age group at church, serving patients’ needs at a pain rehab center, serving as a cheering coach and participating in a mission trip to Kenya. She even plays the violin. Mollie is a true multi-tasker!
Daughter of Tony and Kim Trainer, Mollie will be attending North Greenville University pursuing a degree in pediatric nursing as a prelude to qualifying as a Physician’s Assistant. She plans to use her medical knowledge to service children living in poverty in Kenya and elsewhere. Clearly, Mollie evidences a service mindset Lions are honored to support! Mollie, hopefully, eventually you will personally entertain carrying our Lions worldwide service efforts into the future as a Lion yourself!
