What River Hills/Lake Wylie is up to

Pancake Breakfast with Santa Claus is a fun and festive event that will bring together over 500 families and children from our community. They will enjoy a delicious breakfast, meet Santa & Mrs. Claus, take photos, experience ballon twisters, face painting, cookie decorating and receive a free eye exam. Also featured will be local services for demonstrations such as: EMS Ambulance, Bethel Fire Truck, York County Smoke House, Mounted Police and more.
 
The event is held at Camp Thunderbird dining hall and will be on December 13, 2025.
 
As you may know, net proceeds go to support local/state charities and non-profits: Hospice House, Children's Cancer Partners of the Carolinas, Foundation Fighting Blindness, Hearing Impaired, Childhood Diabetes, Special Olympics and many others.
Tidal Wave Auto Spa’s Clover/Lake Wylie location on Highway 49 in Lake Wylie has announced its 17th annual Charity Day event will be held on Friday, September 19, 2025, from 8 a.m. to 8 p.m. As part of the company’s longstanding commitment to giving back, Tidal Wave Auto Spa will donate 100% of wash proceeds made during the one-day philanthropic event to local charities and non-profit organizations. Tidal Wave Auto Spa’s Lake Wylie location at 125 Carroll Cove is pleased to partner with the River Hills/Lake Wylie Lions Club for this year’s event. This will be the first year for the Lake Wylie location that opened in October 2024.

Richard (Dick) Lewis, a 37-year member of the River Hills/Lake Wylie Lions Club, was inducted into the South Carolina Lions Club Hall of Fame during the annual meeting in Spartanburg—an honor marking a first for his club. Nominated by club president Don Nowak, Lewis was recognized for decades of service, joining an elite group of only about 120 members honored statewide over the past 60 years.

5K, 10K, and Family Walk

The RHLW Run for Life was a great success! This 5K /10K Family Walk was very well
attended and we were delighted to see so many show up on a cool Saturday morning
under-damp skies. We finished the race and award ceremony under bright sunshine!
